This is a topic I’ve considered writing about for some time but haven’t because I find it so disturbing. Don’t expect this to be an in-depth exploration of the topic because the research I’ve done so far is telling me that I only want to know so much. But it’s certainly a topic that everyone needs to be better informed about.
One of the reasons I decided to touch on this now is because the movie The Sound of Freedom opens across the US on July 4th and I wanted to help promote it.
The movie deals primarily with child sex trafficking and focuses on Columbia, South America, which is apparently one of the primary sources for kidnapping children and selling them into the sex slave industry. One of the reasons Columbia is so utilized may be because the infrastructure for kidnapping was put in place long ago by the Columbian drug cartels and their kidnapping-for-ransom offshoots.

According to the movie, child sex trafficking is the fastest growing illegal business in the world, having already surpassed the illegal arms trade in money generated and on pace to surpass the drug trade in the not too distant future.

In more recent years the sex slave industry has skyrocketed as economic disparity has increased around the world. The divide-and-conquer crises event covidcon has taken ever more money from the middle and lower classes and put it into the hands of the ultra wealthy. Existing billionaires increased their wealth by 30%, more than 300 new billionaires and countless new millionaires were created over the last three years as the money lost by low and middle class folks found its way into the hands of those unscrupulous enough to take advantage of covidcon. The result was lots of these newly wealthy individuals now have lots of money to spend on their vices, making demand go through the roof.
The victims are often tricked into thinking they’ll be doing something else but by the time they learn they’ve been lied to, it’s too late, they find themselves in a position where they can do nothing.
A kidnapping often begins when unscrupulous men or women convince an unsuspecting woman or the mother of a child into believing that they can provide that woman or child with a job in another, often wealthier country. The young women are told they’ll be waiting tables, working as a housekeeper, working in a hotel, or maybe working in a factory.
Some mothers are so desperate with five or more children that she’ll sell one or more of them for a pittance. Victims are often told they’ll be working good jobs in a distant factory and that they (the kidnappers) will send part of the child's income home to help the mother or parents support the family. This lie used to encourage participation.
These young women and mothers are told that the man or woman doing the transporting will pay all costs of getting them passports and travel expenses. This is often true, except that, to make it hard for the victims to be tracked, the country where they end up is often not the country where they were told they were going. But the young women and children often don’t know any better because once they get on the plane - typically for the first time - they cease to hear their native tongue.
Many women and children are kidnapped off the street.
Many traffickers are often only involved in making arrangements, kidnapping and transporting. Upon landing at the destination the trafficker will meet the buyer who pays the trafficker for the young women or children and loads them into a van with all the other new victims to be taken to a hotel or a house. At this point many of those old enough to realize things may not be waht they seem become suspicious but are usually so confused they don’t do anything. That hotel or house may or not be where they begin work. If it isn’t, they’ll be cleaned up and paraded in front of prospective buyers who, if they are chosen, will become their ‘employers’ or pimps.
Once arriving at the final destination the young women are sexually exploited by their pimps to make determinations. If they are determined to be virgins they’ll make a very expensive prize for the first customer. If they’re not virgins they’re often raped by their pimps and then put into a room where all the ensuing customers rape them. For young women this can happen 15 or more times a day.
It’s hard to get information on what exactly happens to the children because many end up dead or traumatized. Their stories are rarely told publicly.
If a pimp needs to raise some money they can sell a woman or child to another pimp. Sometimes a woman may be sold 20 or 30 times.
Escape is difficult for the young women because their pimp keeps their passport and they have no other form of identity, they can often never leave the hotel, don’t know where they are, don’t know the language and are never paid enough to survive even if they could escape. The pimp typically keeps all the income.
Due to their vulnerability, the prospect of escape for a child is even less. They’re sometimes cleaned up, given decent clothes and then paraded in front of prospective buyers. Not all buyers are pimps working in the business. Some are purchasing them as personal sex slaves. The child may be surprised when it arrives at a remote mansion. Many of these children don’t last long and die, commit suicide or are killed and replaced by a new child. Because no one knows they’re there, their cases never get looked into.
It would be short sighted of me not to mention the former kingpin of the sex slave industry in the US, Jeffery Epstein. No one has researched this man and his connections more thoroughly than Whitney Webb. Her two books about Epstein have provided the world with the most detailed research available about Epstein’s dark connections to the worlds elite, their warped pedophile lifestyles, the vast amounts of money that change hands, the bribery of targeted people and how all of that is tied to intelligence agencies and organized crime.
